Yasochika Iemura (伊江村 八十千和, Iemura Yasochika) is the 3rd seated officer of the 4th Division, and the leader of the first relief team serving under Captain Retsu Unohana. He is also the Vice-President of the Shinigami Men's Association.[2]

Character Outline
Iemura is very vain, likes to act cool, and thinks he will look better without glasses. He was born on a leap day, February 29. His rank is quite high, but since he comes from the weakest division in terms of combat he has to call the other division's 3rd seats with a -sama suffix. He meticulously keeps a diary, which he sometimes defeats the purpose of by narrating what he's writing in it (particularly when lamenting something). He takes direct command of the Division like a general. His speedy treatments rival those of the lieutenant, Isane Kotetsu.[3]
Synopsis
Soul Society arc
He is first shown directing the relief team of the 4th Division while being on the front lines him-self. He is shown briefing all the Division's Lieutenants after the 11th Division suffers multiple losses due to injures including 3rd seat Ikkaku Madarame and 5th seat Yumichika Ayasegawa. After most of the intruders (Uryū Ishida, Chad, Ganju) are taken for medical treatment he is shown documenting the recent events in Soul Society, while not noticing that he is speaking out loud. Through the rest of the story he is mostly seen in omake chapters, usually involving both his Division Captain and Lieutenant. Iemura is also the Vice-President of the Shinigami Men's Association under President Tetsuzaemon Iba.
Powers & Abilities
Healer: his skills are known to rival the likes of his division's Lieutenant, Isane Kotetsu.
Kidō Practitioner: proficient in the use of healing Kidō.
Zanpakutō
Iemura only used his sword once in the manga against Harunobu Ogidō 8th seat of his division after the latter annoyed him. It resembles a regular katana with a square shaped guard.
