Prelude
After successfully conquering Hueco Mundo, the Vandenreich work at capturing Arrancar to serve their empire. The first Jagdarmee finish up an area and march Arrancar that they captured back to their base. As Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends arrive in Hueco Mundo, a soldier hears their voices. A fellow soldier responds that it must be his imagination as any other Arrancars and Hollows are dead. They resume their march back.[1]

Added by KuroAshi98Upon their return to the camp, the First Jagdarmee begin ordering the Arrancar to line up and stand with the wall behind them. While this is being done, a soldier reports to Quilge Opie. He stands up from his seat, causing one of the Arrancar to note that he looks to be the leader. The Arrancar asks its friend if they really want to do this, wondering if they should just give up instead. The other Arrancar notes that giving up would not help, as they will be killed either way. Quilge then gathers the captured Arrancars’ attention. He tells them all that they will now hold a selection tournament to decide which of the captives lives or dies. He explains that the selection involves him killing them one after another, and that if they are to kneel down and lick his boots if they wish to live. One of the Arrancar steps forward and asks if he will be saved by becoming their comrade right away. However, Quilge simply stabs him and states that they have to go through an “admissions test” in order to apply. This “selection” is what gives them the chance to apply for that additional test. He then goes about stabbing other captives one after the other, saying that any who did not understand will end up like those he just killed.

Added by Hale CaesarAs he does this, one of the Quincy soldiers asks his fellow soldier if the captain is really going recruit any Arrancar. The other soldier replies that Captain Quilge is obviously not going to. One of the Arrancars then dodges his stabbing and grabs his spear. Another Arrancar then draws their Zanpakutō to break the spear and points it at Quilge. Quilge is unfazed. His soldiers yell out “captain”, but Quilge simply complains that they took too long to show their concern. He then comments on how he had thought they had collected all of the Arrancars’ blades. One of the soldiers confirms this and wonders where they were hiding them. The two Arrancars throw off their cloaks to reveal themselves as Loly Aivirrne and Menoly Mallia. They introduce themselves and assert that Quilge will not be able to defeat them. [2]
Battle

Added by KuroAshi98The two are promptly defeated as Quilge breaks Menoly's sword and puts both of them down. He then orders his soldiers to beat them, but not kill them as "his majesty" wishes to collect "idiots with guts." As he walks, he comments on how the quality of Aizen’s Arrancar must not have been particularly high if he had Arrancar like Loly and Menoly as his attendants. He goes on and notes that he should not be surprised since even Tier Harribel was unable to do anything against Yhwach after becoming the ruler of Hueco Mundo. His attention is brought back to Loly and Menoly when he hears their cries. He turns his head to remind his soldiers not to overdo the beating, only to see two of the soldiers be killed by a projectile. As the projectile comes towards him, he catches it. He asks who are his attackers. The attacker is revealed to be Emilou Apacci, who used her Zanpakutō to kill the two Quincy soldiers beating Loly and Menoly. Apacci is accompanied by the other two members of Harribel’s Fracción: Franceska Mila Rose and Cyan Sung-Sun. Apacci angrily responds to Quilge’s inquiry on who they are. Mila Rose tells Apacci to calm down or she will kill her. Sung-Sun wonders why Apacci is using the plural tense in her response.[3]
Apacci then asks Mila Rose who does she think she is going to kill. Mila Rose angrily retorts that it is obviously Apacci. Ignoring her two fellow Fracción, Sung-Sun goes down to Quilge and states that she will be his opponents since those “two monkeys” are busy fighting with each other. Apacci and Mila Rose quickly notice and angrily curse at Sung-Sun.[4]

Added by KuroAshi98As they fight, Apacci sneezes and wonders if Mila Rose is talking about her, since Ichigo’s group noticed their Reiatsu and Nel Tu explained to Ichigo how Harribel’s Fracción are known as the Tres Bestias because of how they always try to kill each other, like cannibalistic beasts. Mila Rose tells her that it is impossible since she was completely silent and asks if Apacci’s ears rotted. The two then begin to quarrel with each other again, with Sung-Sun reprimanding them and telling them to go home if they are going to get in the way. The Quincy soldiers are completely shocked at just how powerful the three are. One of the soldiers beings to run towards Quilge and recommends that they retreat temporarily, since the Tres Bestias are so powerful. However, Quilge simply kills the soldier, which brings the attention of the Arrancar to him. Quilge then proposes that the Arrancar surrender. Apacci is surprised as Quilge goes on to compliment how strong they are. He states that their strength would make them perfect soldiers for Yhwach, thus why he does not want to kill them and is proposing that they give up. He invites them to join their army, which would allow them to work for the sake of the Vandenreich along with Tier Harribel. He tells them that there could be no greater happiness for them then by doing this. The three promptly refuse Quilge’s offer. Seeing as the Arrancar do not want to negotiate, he states that this is a pity.[5]A large explosion occurs as Quilge promptly defeats the Tres Bestia, leaving all three severely injured.[6] As Ichigo Kurosaki arrives on the scene, Quilge notes his presence and states that they are having many guests today.
Aftermath
All five Arrancar are severely injured in their attempts to defeat Quilge Opie and the First Jagdarmee. Upon Ichigo Kurosaki’s arrival on the battlefield, the First Jagdarmee and Quilge begin combat with the Substitute-Shinigami.[7]All five Arrancar are brought to Orihime Inoue, who protects them with Santen Kesshun. Apacci, Mila Rose, and Sung-Sun then later regain consciousness to summon Ayon to fight Quilge.[8]
