Re: Archive TroubleEdit

I fixed it for you. The reason why it was appearing the way it was is because each paragraph (for some reason) had a spacebar space before you put in text. Let me demonstrate:

This is the way it looks when you begin a paragraph with a spacebar space before the text.

For some reason, when you moved everything, there was a spacebar space at the beginning of each paragraph for each topic on your talk page, which caused it to look like the way it did (as well as my demonstration above). It's fixed now, so it should be fine. Arrancar109 (Talk) 18:56, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yep. That's all there is too it. Arrancar109 (Talk) 19:05, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

ReferencingEdit

As per our manual of style, you must reference all information you add. This is because without references, our readers don't know where the information comes from. We are also trying to get all unreferenced information off the wiki. That will not be possible if new unreferenced information keeps getting added. Arrancar109 is particularly strict about these things. As you might have noticed. Please use the following codes to add references. Let me know if you have any more questions about referencing. Tinni (Talk) 14:22, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • Anime reference example: <ref>''Bleach'' anime; Episode 17</ref>
  • Manga reference example: <ref>''Bleach'' manga; Chapter 17, pages 6-7</ref>

If you are just editing existing information, then no there is no need to add references. However, if you come across a piece of information that is not referenced. Then we would really appreciate it if you would kindly add the reference while correct grammer/spelling. Tinni (Talk) 15:13, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

No that is not necessary. Especially for things like plot information that come straight out of the manga chapter or anime. Powers/abilities tend to be more contentious, or rather how they are to be described can be contentious. But you should still feel free to go ahead and add new information as best you can. The trick is to not assume or speculate. Just write down things as you see them in the chapter/anime and add the reference. If there is a problem, someone else will go in and fix it/expand on the information or just bring-up a discussion in the discussion page. But certainly don't hesitate to add information. Also, I have noticed that you have been attempting to write chapter summaries but then getting nervous and reverting what you added. You don't have to be so nervous. If there is a problem with the summary we'll fix it. So you should just leave it in there. Tinni (Talk) 15:34, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

That's what I am here for. Which reminds me, please be aware that we have a zero tolerance policy towards verbal harassment and we require cooperation from all users to keep the wiki abuse free. I noticed that you posted on the Blog where Arrancarthevillainiam cursed at another user and called them names, after he did the cursing. The offending posts have now been removed but please keep in mind that if in the future if you notice comments like "f--- you", name calling like "pr---k" or "m-g---t" and other such vile personal attacks, report them to the admins immediately whether they are directed at you or another user. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated. Tinni (Talk) 15:51, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Things involving me doesn't matter. When I am right, I am right and no amount of ganging-up will help anyone or rattle me. However, as a frequent Blog user, you should keep your eyes and ears open for harassment, abuse and other unsocial behaviour on blogs. We can't be everywhere and the blogs are becoming a problem. Discussions can get heated, harsh comments can be exchanged and some people just have a direct, cynical way of expressing their opinion (I should know, I am one of them), that's all acceptable. But the moment someone makes a discussion personal and starts calling another user names or targets them in a malicious manner or otherwise gives the impression of harassment - the best way you can help the wiki community is to head for the nearest admin's talk page and linking to the blog and explaining what the problem is. In short, if you see something, speak-up. Tinni (Talk) 17:00, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Yes Kaien was older then Byakuya and Gin. No the Shiba family was the FIFTH Great Noble Family. There are currently four great noble families AFTER the Shiba family fell from grace. Tinni (Talk) 17:19, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

It is a crack theory until proven otherwise, yes. We may never learn about the other two noble families or maybe we'll learn something about them soon now that the story has moved back to Soul Society. We can only wait and see. Tinni (Talk) 17:32, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Aizen's form Edit

I don't think it is so much that he wanted to become a hollow or whatever but become something new. His form does not really bear any resemblance to a hollow or vizard other than the black sclera. I dont think we can really say anything--God (Pray) 16:33, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Response Edit

We unfortunately have been down that road before. That system really wouldn't work. Mainly because there are a number of things that users would bring up and it would be overwhelming. Also information isn't based on personal opinion. What one person believes or thought happened is gonna be entirely different from what another person thinks. This is the result of alot vandalism on the sight that has to be fixed. The point is being impartial about the material and only placing what is seen or heard in the manga and by extension in the anime. Prime example if Ulquiorra states he is dying and fades to dust in the wind there is no debating the fact that he is dead. Such things would not contribute to the sight but cause an issue. Im not sure how this would help the sight, maybe im missing the point what exactly are you trying for with this implementation? --Salubri (Talk) 14:01, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

I get what your saying but alot of the issues of what is and isn't allowed are already in the policies. There should be no reason not to read them and everyone is held to the standard so people don't get to slide just cause they choose not to. The links for the pages are even automatically placed on the talk pages when people sign in. Its a fact of being part of the sight you got to follow the policies. There wouldn't be a need to do all you suggest if they were followed. Also as admin there is alot to do on this site everyday thats not counting real life. We wouldn't have time to actually go over and monitor and control all that on top of what we already do. Hence why we decided against doing a chat for the sight as well. I set up the vote to make a clear point about something serious for the entire wiki and also to explain the majority view of the sight to an outsider. What exactly would you have people bring up. Salubri (Talk) 14:37, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe run it by Yyp or Arrancar109 and see what they think because i dont think im getting the point. Salubri (Talk) 17:08, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Blog Spot Edit

What is this page exactly. Salubri (Talk) 12:33, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

New Blog spot Edit

Hi Soul how's it going,

Although i very much appreciate your invite to your blog spot i try to avoid spoilers if possible so could have done with some warning that the spoiler pictures were on there before checking it out.

i don't mind too much though and i'll see you there soon.Wolfwood (Shoot) 11:13, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

hey no worries no harm done. having the link to the spoilers on the page is fine but having the spoiler pictures right there could do with being moved!! lolWolfwood (Shoot) 13:01, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

so it might just be me but how to we use the site? can we all write blogs there or just comment on one you create?? it's the first time i've seen blogspot so i don't know how it workk!!!!! :S Wolfwood (Shoot) 13:13, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Sure i can admin the site. i recently became admin on the D'Gray Man site since it's a bit of a mess and have been spending a lot of time tidying things up there but i'm always happy to help.Wolfwood (Shoot) 13:15, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Adding new Info in Articles (and sorry for asking about Gin too)Edit

Firstly, about overriding edits, it's not a policy of this site but if you add something to a page and then get a "conflicting" edit warning from the wiki but then "force" a save anyway, then you will override some else's edit. Similar thing can happen with your edits. However, if you are wondering about your edits to the Hōgyoku page. Those were specifically reverted by Arrancar109. Since Arrancar109 didn't give a reason, I can't guess why he reverted your edit. You'll have to ask him about that. Also, no the Kubo death formula doesn't have an official source. It just the name the admins gave to the pattern of death that's been shown in the manga so far. I personally think that's a bit of weak argument and that's why I never argued "Kubo death formula". My preferred argument what that Gin seems to have lost his place in the manga being no longer an antagonist but having done too many "evil things" to be a protagonist. But that's beside the point. The arguments on both side were weak and that's why we had so much trouble with it and in the end had to just remove the status. It wasn't a good situation, I am afraid to say. English Edit

You need to use english to the best of your ability when posting around here. This is so that we can understand what you are saying and respond. If we cannot understand you, we cannot respond to what you are saying.--God (Pray) 04:48, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Hold your horses if you dont understand ask nicely not criticize others about their english, further this wiki is not about English its all about Bleach and Bleach only and I never join it because it has good English I join it because it has many Bleach facts and figure, no I dont need to do that and if you have problems you need to improves your attitude about others even they seem to have lots of mistake in writing in English and why not name this wiki Bleach English Wiki Only if you really want to carry on that attitude and excuse me for barging in my talk page and please have some respect. And if you wanted to teach people proper English, please by all means do it in a University or School.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 04:58, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

This is an english language wiki. All articles are written in english. All blogs, all forums and all talk pages use english. I do not know how you can be opposed to allowing people to understand you. I am being nice. Use proper english because with the way you write, you would not be able to make an edit that sticks due to lack of proper grammar. Reading your forum post, I cannot understand what you write. You have been a member of this site for long enough to know that you need to write so people can understand you--God (Pray) 05:05, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Please be mindful of you attitude Soulreaper. Nobody is attacking you. During all your time here, it has been pointed out several times that we all have problems understanding what you write. Yes, this is a Bleach Wiki, but for it to work properly, communication is essential. If we don't understand what you're saying, there is no way that you can get your point across. So please, make your writing so that people can understand what you're sayin and use proper English, read over what you write before posting and editing. And yes, one of the major points in this Wiki is that it has good and proper English, it would be a disaster if the articles were written in whatever way. Style, grammar and spelling are important, so keep them in mind when writing please. Lia Schiffer (Talk) 05:16, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Look you 2 the forum is about how to improve the Bleach Wiki my idea was make Lump Info Articles it points to Individual Articles if you guys do not agrees then so be it, it is not my attitude and it is not about learning and posting English wrongly at the first place but anyway what should I do when you people carries on to barge in on my talk page I can not do anything can I? Well I can only ask you the Lump Articles/Individual Articles argument for the Bleach wiki or to correct my English the way I ask the forum that is more important? Which one do you think it is more important? I think when trying to explain, argues any things about Bleach in this site one should not ever brought up this English Language matter, obviously this is disrespectful for others who dont speak it as their mother tounge so I hope you guys get it.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 05:31, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

All we ask is that users write in English to the best of their abilities. If you do not speak english very well, there are bleach wiki's in other languages. I believe there is a German and Spanish one and most likely a Japaneese one. If you come and edit on this site then you need to be able to communicate in clear English. This post has nothing to do with your forum post, it is a general warning to start using better grammar and English so that we can understand what you are writing. If you do not want to use English then go elsewhere because this is not the place for you--God (Pray) 05:39, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Your issue in the forum was answered to several times, if you don't want to understand that is your business and this has nothing to do with it. And as Godisme said this is and English Bleach Wiki, so it is written in English. There is an Spanish Bleach Wiki and there is a German Bleach Wiki, and just as we do, I guess, they have policies about people writing correctly and in such a way that people can understand. Yes, Bleach is our main concern. But if people can't understand what we write, there is no point in writing at all. And for that matter, English is not my mother language and I can write it properly, and I'm sure many users in the site are the same so that is not an excuse. Do not make a fuss over such a little thing, all we are asking of you is that you write in proper English, otherwise we can't understand a word of what you're saying. Lia Schiffer (Talk) 05:44, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Guys U 2 are just newbie (maybe have the potential to become admin now just a committee member or whatever), but anyway why I never being told to death to properly write things in English here by Salubri, Yyp, Arrancar109 and Tinni, even they sometime do not understand they still try their best to make someone like me to GET IT. I think you 2 guys need to learn how to address people than to completely have disrespect towards their level of English.

And @Godisme what basically your saying is leave the site just because my english is not good, you can ask the admin to block me for 1 year than I am off this site, good luck editing, this ENGLISH argument is a waste of my time.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 05:55, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

What I am saying is that if English is not your native language, you would probably be better going to the Bleach Wiki of your native language. If English is your native language, you need to start showing that or just stop coming here because you seem to refuse to use the language properly. I have seen many instances where the Admins and Tinni have told you to use better english but you never heed their warning. They just have not bothered to take it to your talk page. I did so because improper use of the language bugs me more than others. Since I head the Grammar Corner, every time someone just misspells a word, it creates more work for myself and the other members of the corner.--God (Pray) 06:06, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Oh now the grammar corner needs to correct misspells words in the forum too! I thought you only correct mistake in the articles, give me a break! Where your proofs saying them admins advising people here to use better english and especially to me in the forums or blogs anyway? Once maybe Yyp or Arrancar109 scolded user for arguing who's English is better, they said the site was not and will not be about the language it is all BLEACH. And If I am not mistaken take Salubri for instance even we have come across heated arguments before he never once gone to lengths explaining people how to write better in english his only concern was the accuracy of any user writing facts and figures about Bleach, he once said he didnt understand my saying in English but that was it he totally nailed it in terms of Bleach facts and figure no way he criticize me in English, Tinni if I remember well she taught me in referencing from the chapter and the anime it all concern when adding info in article never about using better english, even if you added piece wrongly she said someone will probably help to correct it if the piece deemed to be worthy to be added to the article, it has never about the language right or wrong. But you my friend are taking this too personal as if saying this Bleach Wiki is for people who can write better in English. Well if you succeeded in becoming admin for this site someday please by all means add for "people who can speak and write better ENGLISH only" in here http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. You should stop this pointless argument and go back correcting grammar in the articles, and it would be better to ask/teach user who edit those articles with loads of mistake than trying to reconstruct my question in the forum threads. Learn from them BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Did you read Salubri's explanation in the forum just now. He totally nails it!Soulreaper1234 (talk) 09:13, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

As Salubri said, we can easily change the policies to say that you must use english. Now here is the thing. You have horrible English skills. If you want to be understood, use proper english. If you do not want to be understood, continue to use your broken english. I just do not understand why you would not want people to understand you.God (Pray) 11:46, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Then by all mean change it add the policy and give warnings and then block people who continues to disregard this policy of using proper improper English or whatever. I really just do not understand why you are trying so hard to make me understand. If I don't get you then so be it. Just let this one go there are better things to do in this site than making me understand on how to use proper English, just continue your works on correcting those article's grammar than trying to teach me something in English. Okay Boss.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 14:43, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

I am not teaching you English. I am saying you need to use it because no one can understand you. You say if we do not understand you, just ask and you will clarify. We cannot understand your clarification because you do not know how to write in English. You would be best suited for going to the bleach wiki of your native language--God (Pray) 14:46, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

If you cannot understand my English then what can I do for you. I cannot do more. However telling me to leave this wiki for my native language because I cannot use English properly are completely utter disrespectful for other user in your part because of total ignorance and arrogance and very rude. The only way you can make me leave is ask those admins to banned me, when there is no proofs that I am disregarding the wiki's true and genuine policy, and if this continues harassing than I have no choice than to report you to the admin.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 15:10, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

I am not harassing you, I am not telling you to leave, I am saying I think you would do better on the wiki of your native language. It is just very hard to understand you and you have said you have no intent on using better English skill--God (Pray) 15:21, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Still you have no rights nor shame nor respect towards others regardless of their native language to say you think I am better on wiki of my native language, this pointless argument are not going anyway unless I report you to the admin as this pointless arguing will not help contribute anything to this Bleach Wiki.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 15:30, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

You are right this is not helping the wiki so I will ask you one final time to use English and I am done--God (Pray) 15:33, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you better stop because I already reported you to Yyp and Salubri about this.Soulreaper1234 (talk) 15:43, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Discussion on Wikia's New LookEdit

Hi. I was hoping that you could take a look at User blog:Yyp/New Wikia Skin:What we can expect?. In case you are not aware, Wikia is changing the entire look of all the wikis. We need as much feedback on this change as possible, so it would be great if you could post on your general impressions or specific things that you like/dislike. Thanks for your input, ~~Ууp <talk> 11:37, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
