Usual routine, blah de blah.

Predictions: Mayuri manages to break Hitsugaya out of his zombie condition/state/whatever, and Giselle will survive for one more chapter before being devoured by her own zombies in 595. Because reasons.

Also, I can't help but wonder if Kubo is saving Grimmjow for an especially powerful Sternritter, since (to my knowledge and way of thinking at 12:30 am) one attack from an Arrancar like him would be fatal to a Quincy. Also, doubting he's got a Segunda Etapa: he really doesn't need it (although frankly neither did Ulquiorra) because my lord Pantera makes him strong, at least against some regular captain-level fodder opponent like a Sternritter (Ichigo isn't exactly a fair comparison for anyone in the series).

Anyway, rambling thoughts over. I'll update this after I read the chapter and stuff. Hopefully it won't get lost in the RC.

UPDATE: I...Is there even gonna BE a chapter this week? It's almost 3 am, and so far none of the Big 3 have come out on either site. Rather odd.

Well now. Kubo, you've done it again.

Another short review because y'all have probably read the chapter by now. I didn't see Kensei, Rose, and Rangiku coming back as zombies, but I'll be damned if it wasn't a good twist. As noted below, Mayuri seems to be out to cure Hitsugaya rather than immediately kill Giselle, although god knows what he's doing that could be so painful. Oh, and apparently 3 ex-Espada are gonna take on two zombified captains and one zombified lieutenant, so there's that.

On to the next half. Byakuya defeating Candice, NaNaNa, and the old man off-screen is...well, I can see why people have a problem with it. As long as NaNaNa and Gordon are only badly wounded and not outright dead so we can see their powers (Kubo's been fairly good with doing that this arc, all things considered), then I'll be fine with it as a show of Byakuya's power (I don't have anything in particular against Candice, but I'm aware that she's basically done her part that we know of in this arc - confirming Ichigo's new strength). But, of course, there's the part everyone seems to be focused on - Pepe "The Love". I'll readily admit that I was NOT expecting him to have the L epithet, but Kubo foreshadowed that really well during 575 when Pepe was speaking with hearts in his text bubbles. That does, of course, raise the question of what C could possibly be if not "The Control", but I suppose we'll find out eventually.

Also, Pepe is REALLY creepy, not in the As Nodt "ohmygodthenightmares" way, but "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeccccchhhhhhh". Good work, Kubo.
