So before we begin, Ten had made his own blog. I do hope you know what this means, Ten.
This means WAR.
nah I kid it's fine
Anyhow, as for the chapter itself, it appears Bambietta's fight with Komamura is finally over, and in a surprisingly brutal AND satisfying manner: Komamura essentially made Bambietta explode herself. Yup, you read that correctly. The irony is DELICIOUS, I tell you. Additionally, we've got some more from his great-grandfather, who I certainly find a somewhat interesting character. As it turns out, the drawback of becoming an immortal human is that Komamura is now a full-blown wolf...which I did not see coming at all. Actually, now that I think about it, on the penultimate page of the last chapter, there's a sort of wolf-like aura around Komamura in one of the panels. I had assumed it was showing how his old self was speaking, but maybe not. Either way, it's a cool way to make Komamura NOT overpowered as all hell.
We also got a little from Iba, who has been criminally underutilized in the series. Maybe we'll finally learn what his Zanpakutō is called.
Additionally, we've got a...rather horrifyingly creepy scene with the flambeed Bambietta and her cheerleading squad, with the latter apparently absorbing or getting absorbed into the former. Whatever happened, it was enough to scare even Bambietta, and that's worth noting.
And finally, we've got Rukia and Renji of all people also falling down to the Seireitei, and they appear to be wearing new clothes as well. I get the feeling this is kinda like how Felix Baumgarter had to wear what was essentially a spacesuit when he dropped from the atmosphere, only this time it's less Red-Bull sponsored record-breaking and more ass-kicking bazam time.
Overall, a very nice chapter. I certainly wasn't expecting it to come out this early or at this time, but I'm not dissatisfied, especially with those opening color pages.
