Alright! I am relatively on time this week. This episode is a particularly controversial episode in the Bleach fandom. People either like it or hate it and in particular along the manga chapter this was adapted from, this episode has been a source of loathing and despair for those of us who edit here on a fairly regular basis. That's right people the episode where Ulquiorra dies. yes he does die, Kubo has written it numerous times, he is Nimbus's footrest, he is dead, ash, dust, saw dust, coprolite, whatever you want to call IT, HE IS GONE! Whatever you think about the character I don't really care about that, what I do care about is the complete disregard of logic because someone goes,"but he waz my fav character." Well frankly I don't give a flying cero, the fact that people get so psychotic about these characters are almost exclusively the source of what goes wrong in Bleach.
Anywhoo rant over moving on!
The only real problem I had with the episode was the Rudobon fight. For the most part it was just poorly animated, and what really bugged me is that they reused the same animation not even two minutes apart from each other. If you are going to reuse animation fine, but don't make it so obvious. Secondly if you have to reuse animation make sure it is good animation.
Overall, I thought everyone brought their A-game this week and there really wasn't a bad performance in there. Everyone really was equal to each other and even Paul St. Peter sounded decent.
