Hey sorry I am late guys. Between having strange mindf#*k dreams, nearly getting heatstroke at work, attempting to work on Sr, doing six courses this semester for college, I have been understandably busy and exhausted. But don't worry I will still do work here (probably a little before I go to bed), but now it's review time.
To be honest I don't have much to say about the episode. Tony did a good job with Ulquiorra's resurrección, and there were no real groaners like last week. It's just that this episode is boring and I had the same problem with the original Japanese dub as well. I just hate how Pierrot extended the confrontation between Uryū and Yammy. It was just unnecessary and it added nothing to the story. My biggest issue with extending the fight was the fact that in the manga, Uryū and Yammy never met each other in person before this point. The only reason why Uryū knows that Yammy exists is because Szayelaporro dissed him. Now, if this was between Ichigo and Yammy this would be an entirely different story. I don't mind if you change or extend something to help it fit into a tv format, but at least justify doing it and not just extending it just for the sake of padding an episode. If I didn't read the manga, this entire situation would have been extremely confusing for me. When you are adapting something, the ultimate goal should be to keep the fans of the original work happy and explain things enough so that people who are not familiar with the original work can follow along.
Overall too much padding where it wasn't needed and next week should be much better.
