You know what, I am not even going to bother with the intro.
I really do not know what to say anymore. There are so many things wrong with this arc, I cannot wrap my head around it. Forget about canon discrepancies, I have so many problems with the logic to think about how it violates canon. Here is a short list of just some of the many problems of this arc.
Was it necessary for Ichigo to loose his powers for this arc?
So far all of the actions in this arc have had little or no influence on the status of Ichigo's powers. In fact I almost forgot that he was loosing his powers, because it has only been mentioned what once...perhaps twice in this entire arc. You know it isn't that important he's only THE MAIN CHARACTER!!! What was so important in this arc that Ichigo needed to keep his powers for? Nothing comes to mind, and if anyone would like to prove me wrong, be my guest. Plus the stunt they are performing really is ticking me off. It ticks me off even more, because I knew it was coming from a mile away. I am praying for Kon and Ichigo to team up, because it this point it is the only way for either of them to be extremely useful.
Do I really need to comment?
O plot, plot, wherefore art thou plot. I have complained about this in the past, but still what is the point of this arc? Again if anyone has any suggestions be my guest.
There was a few things I liked about this episode. I like the fact that Kon is showing real emotion and he does really care about Ichigo. The one positive thing (perhaps the only positive thing) to come from this arc, is that it made Kon into a much deeper character.
Another thing that I liked was the animation of Ichigo inside the Cleaner. It really reminded me of Brain's Base animation on Durarara!! I really thought it was particularly well animated, especially with the hair and facial expressions.
Overall the episode was not...horrible, but it wasn't great either. I have so things to look forward to though.
