Hello Bleach fans it's Tuesday, and Lemursrule is actually on time this week with the review. So enough talking to myself in the third person (seriously kids don't do it, it's creepy), let's begin!
This week's episode was an improvement of the mind-numbing garbage that was Bleach 333. After watching today's episode, I realized something. This arc would be sooo much better without the Troll Sith (A.k.A. Inaba). Although Nozomi's Zanpakutō's ability was somewhat questionable and the fact she hits a few points on the Mary Sue litmus test, but she is still a very likable character. I mean THANK GOD she is not in Bella Swan or Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way territory, I don't even think you could obtain that level of epic "sue-ness" if you tried. In fact in my personal opinion, she is the most likable female anime-only character in Bleach next to Senna (although I kinda like them both equally). I know people (including myself) were worried that she would become too annoying and/or bratty, but she turned out ok. Most of...no, ALL of the problems in this arc are related to Inaba.
Here is what I think of whenever Inaba comes on screen.INABA IS OFFICIALLY WORSE THAN KARIYA, SOMETHING I DID NOT BELIEVE WAS EVEN POSSIBLE!
...Well said Darth Vader, Well said. Anyway getting back on topic, Inaba is just a terrible villain, that makes me confused. So Today's Mindfu...ah revelation, was that Inaba was apparently created from the same being as Nozomi was created from. OK, then Inaba so what are you a mod-soul or her brother...WHAT THE HELL iS YOUR RELATION TO THIS GIRL! I mean MY GOD! This arc is as bi-polar as THIS GUY!
So, if Inaba is a mod-soul, how did he create the mod souls...yeah try wrapping your head around that one.
However, there was some good in this episode. I was honestly touched by the whole Kon Nozomi relationship in this episode, it really has come a long way. It's really nice for Kon to get a serious love interest (come-on we all know that it is), and the feeling to me felt mutual. I am not really in the shipping game, but I think it would be really nice for Kon and Nozomi to end up together at the end of the arc. It would be a really nice send-off for Kon in the anime, since we do not know when or if he will ever come back to the manga. There were some other small logic problems, but it was enough to overlook. Plus, Ichigo seems to have FINALLY lost all of his Soul Reaper powers (unless some WTF magic instant power-return plot device comes, which is still unfortunately possible). At it looks like this arc will end at episode 338, and I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE FULLBRINGERS!
