Hello Fellow Bleach fans! It has been an exciting few days for the Bleach fandom! So before I start my review, I am going to recap the events that happened the last few days.
- Bleach Soul Ignition/Resurrección will be released exclusively on the Playstation 3 June 23 in Japan, August 2 in the United States, and in September in Europe.
- Bleach: Hell Chapter will be released in Japan on DVD August 23.
A lot things to be excited about, so with that let's begin!
I really liked this episode, in fact it is one of my favorite episodes in this filler-arc so far. I love the new songs, especially the "techno-remix" of Treachery. The new music works very well with the fluidness of the animation. The new animation style is becoming very consistent, and it matches Tite Kubo's drawing style quite nicely. We also learn more about the Regai, and I am really loving Kon and Nozomi's character development. I think Kon is finally becoming a respectful character, and not just useless comic relief. I was not too surprised about the real Rukia being the one that lost the fight. I mean the only time Rukia ever one-shot anyone (canon) was Di Roy, and she ended up getting KO'D by Grimmjow less than a minute later. No offense to any Rukia fans (which I am proudly), but the only times Rukia wins a fight if (A) She is severely injured, or (B) She eventually overpowers her enemies. However I did not expect Kyōraku being replaced with a Regai. I mean the Regai got Shunsui's personality perfectly, and it makes the Regai truly terrifying opponents. The Uryū thing with Hisagi (especially in the omake) and the other Soul Reapers was a bit...odd, but I guess he had to be useful in some way.
Overall it was a very enjoyable episode, and I look forward to next week's episode.
