Hey I am actually sort of on time this week,(Yippee!)so without further ado, let's begin!
This episode is actually one of my favorite episodes of this filler arc, and I have to say both Jamison Price and David Vincent did amazing jobs as Murumasa and Koga. The emotions of those two really made the episode for me. For me the emotions made up for where the logic and storyline lacked. The overall story and animation was a great improvement over the last few episodes, but there is still questionable logic and overall story quality (Examples: Why not kill Koga instead of sealing him and why would Murumasa even want to unseal Koga).
In my opinion, the next few episodes are really the high points of the arc for me. Although it was cool to see everyone's Zanpakuto, the Muramasa, Koga storyline for me is far more intriguing. I really wished that storyline was elaborated more on, rather than dozens of fodder fights that add nothing to the overall storyline. Episodes 250 and 251 really tell a story, and my biggest disappointment is that Koga was not developed more as a character, because he really could have been developed into a pretty decent antagonist.
Overall this is definitely one of the better Bleach filler episodes and it defiantly has more quality story than the last few episodes. In my opinion, if you were forced to watch any Bleach filler episode, this one is one of the rare ones that leaves you emotionally satisfied.
