Happy Easter to those who celebrate it (and no, I am not religious person) and it is time to review a new dub episode of Bleach.
First, before I even comment on the voicing acting, the thing that has always bothered me about this episode is the story (i.e. pacing). The most annoying part is around the course of the entire episode NOTHING HAPPENS! I felt like I was watching an old DBZ rerun, because that's about how bad the pacing was in this episode. I cannot comprehend how you can have Ichigo,Yoruichi, Shunsui, Jushiro, Toshiro, Kenpachi, and Yamamoto, all of them very powerful Soul Reapers, in a single episode and have the story go NOWHERE.The whole entire episode was literally Murumasa walking several yards in Karakura Town and Ichigo escaping Ryujin-Jakka, two plot point that could have easily been covered in 6-7 minutes at the most, BUT NO, this is apparently is SO IMPORTANT, that it requires an entire 20+ MINUTE EPISODE TO TELL THIS RIVETING TALE TO THE AUDIENCE.
Anyway enough ranting, moving on. There were also some questionable choices in art directing, including another shot of that creepy fish-eye shot of Murumasa from last episode and the trees looked like something from a Little People playset.
The overall voice acting was okay, but there are some parts where I thought the acting could have been better
Overall it was an okay episode.
- Story 4/10
- Art/Animation 7/10
- Sound Effects 9/10
- Script adaptation 9/10
- Music 8.5/10
- Acting 7/10
