THE SQUAD ZERO
So this is the chapter everyone has been waiting for. The Royal Guard is finally here and based on their appearances and arrival, I have to say eh. The fat one in the middle looks like a bald, white, Kiganjo and the one to his left looks like Wakaba from Fairy Tail (the girl to the right also looks a bit like Ultear). They don't look like much, so I guess we'll see how they do once in combat. I more so want history though. Also, Kubo changed the Royal Guard insignia. I like this new one though, it looks more like the Gotei 13 insignias now.
In other news, Ichigo's Bankai is broken so now Kubo will probably have him go through some power up that restores his Bankai and makes him super powerful as you know its coming. It seems a lot more peop…

BORN IN THE DARK
Well Kubo is just enjoying pissing his story away now I see. I am not even going to get much into exactly what happened in the chapter because like most of the chapters lately, only one thing actually happened.
So Masaki was a Quincy. Good job Kubo, you just retconned your story. Masaki has always been referred to as a Human. Every instance of mentioning her has said she was Human, nothing more. Think of this, if she was a Quincy, why did she not see Grand Fisher? If she did, why charge at Ichigo to save him rather than pulling out her bow and killing the Hollow? Wouldn't that have been easier than throwing her life away? The answer is obviously that Kubo just wanted to make her a Quincy now so he could give Ichigo Quincy powers.

So, Ichigo arrives out of the Garganta and Byakuya is alive but will be dead shortly. End of chapter.
Seriously, thats it. It was 16 pages of showing Ichigo from different angles. I just want Byakuya to hurry up and die so I can continue laughing at all the fanboys who cried over his supposed death the first time.
Die Standing
Okay, I am calling utter bullcrap on this chapter. Number one, Yamamoto, the strongest character in the series, would not be taken down by a single swing of an enemy's sword. Second, Yama displayed the biggest problem with this arc, captains standing around looking at their opponents in awe. The second his Bankai was stolen, he just stood there. The same thing happened to Byakuya. He just stood there and took As' attacks.
While it was nice to have some backstory with Yama and having nearly destroyed Soul Society with his Bankai 1000 years ago, it still doesn't really give us much as to who exactly Juhabach is, how he is alive after 1000 years and what exactly happened 1000 years ago. Now Seireitei is gone and looks like pretty much everyone…
