Chapter 522: Love it

I'm going to tentatively be running a blog that covers chapters on a week-by-week basis. As I've said before, there are umpteen such blogs floating around this wiki, some still active and most not, but in a possibly-futile attempt to differentiate myself from others, I'm going to be organizing my points into neat "pros" and "cons" sections. Hopefully this will help keep my thoughts organized and provide a better rundown of each chapter. Also, I'll be sticking random exclamation points at the end of my sentences for emphasis! This makes my blog seem fun and exciting! So here's the latest chapter, number 522: Love it!

+Nimaiya's somewhat interesting. His de trop personality and over-the-top presentation are cool, though this can easily become…

Kirge Opie and the Rules of Improv

Are you familiar with the rules of improv comedy? I know it sounds a little unrelated to Bleach, but let me explain. Improv comedy is comedy in which participants must create a scene with characters, relationships, setting, and plot off the top of their heads. It can be fairly taxing and requires a lot of dedication and creativity to pull off well. I personally love improv, but there are a number of rules that have to be followed for each scene to go over well. And I personally think that the rules of improv comedy are surprisingly relatable to writing a good fight scene. So let me elaborate and show you why, as of Chapter 493, Kirge Opie is one of the worst improv performers I've ever seen.

One of the key rules of a good improvised scene i…

Tsukishima the Zombie: Injuries of Bleach

With Bleach on its current three-week break, there isn't much to say about new plot developments. Honestly, after my rant about Chapter 478, I don't think there's really anything left for me to add. However, there is something that I've been meaning to bring up for a while now, and with the lull in series news, I figured now might be a good time to broach the topic. Let me preface this with a statement: Shukuro Tsukishima had a hole ripped through his chest and was able to stand, talk, and attack for several minutes following. We'll work from there.

Someone once mentioned that it's possible to debate how the Shinigami and the Arrancar survive their various life-threatening injuries because they're not humans, and it's easier to argue that t…

Retrospective: Chapter 478. THE LOST 3

Okay, I'm already aware that there are umpteen different blogs in which people review chapters and episodes and such, and I don't think I really need to add another such blog to that. This isn't going to be a week-by-week thing, me talking about chapters like this. I don't plan on doing this all the time. But I think this chapter warrants further discussion, for a few different reasons. Primarily because I thought it was horrible. I've been reading new chapters as they come out since The Blazing Glaciers, and this is the first chapter I've read in that time that I walked away from feeling disappointed. Really and truly disappointed. It's important for me to pinpoint why I feel that way, though. So let's talk about this. Lemme try to figure t…

Fullbring - The Detested Arc?

I love Bleach. I really do. That goes without saying. I've even made efforts at expressing my like for the series by attempting to edit some pages around this wiki, trying my best to seem productive. It hasn't always been successful; though I am a avid fan, I fear that I am not exactly a very good editor, nor am I very helpful with much in terms of editing. I forget to sign my posts sometimes. And I can't even figure out how to fix my "broken" avatar. I'm no good in terms of helping out around the wiki. I consider myself a devoted fan nonetheless.

I do love Bleach, but it has dawned on me lately that, as a fan, I might love it a little too much. I'm starting to worry that my love for the series on the whole is making it hard for me to objecti…
