Giselle has confirmed that Hitsugaya was transformed into a zombie before being killed. That leaves it ambiguous whether or not he is dead, especially since we don't know the full effects of "The Zombie". Since Hitsugaya's page is currently categorized under "Deceased" and "Former Shinigami Captains", I guess it is assumed that he really is dead. However, this is contradicting with the character template, the Gotei 13 template and even the 10th division page, all which state him as an active member. Which version should be kept? Actually the staff completely agree and came to the same conclusion. Unfortunately those changes were made originally and werent corrected. I have taken care of that and sorry for the confusion.--Salubri (Chat) 02:33,8/12/2014

Shinkū no Kōri no Yaiba Alternate/Other TranslationEdit

Whilst reading Hitsugaya's article I found that his Shikai skill - Vacuum Ice Sword (真空の氷の刃, Shinkū no Kōri no Yaiba) has other meaning. The "氷の刃" part can be translated also as Gleaming Sword (氷の刃, Kōri no Yaiba). So Minnasan, tell me Your honest thoughts about changing the translation or let it be as earlier. MadsigZero 19:39, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

While the alternate meaning is certainly interesting, I think that the current translation is more accurate - the whole thing about that ability is that it uses vacuums and ice in conjunction for powerful attacks and stuff.--Xilinoc (talk) 19:46, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

Maybe both translations should be listed. The Gleaming Sword translation can be listed as a form of alternate translation; such as how Toshiro's Daiguren Hyorinmaru has one. Poweltav (talk) 01:15, April 6, 2015 (UTC)

Hyorinmaru's EmblemEdit

After Toshiro defeated Cang Du, he encased him in a pillar of ice in the shape of a cross-shaped flower. Toshiro said that it was Hyorinmaru's emblem. I think this temporarily-unnamed technique should be listed under his powers & abilities section. Poweltav (talk) 01:21, April 6, 2015 (UTC)

Irony Edit

Could you put in his personality, that despute wanting to grow a bit, in the recent chapter he said to Byakyua he dislikes his grown up adult form, (don't mean to sound dramatic, but just this once) "Oh the Irony weighs heavy on you Toshiro" CoolJazzman (talk) 18:00, April 21, 2016 (UTC)

Zanpakutou translation Edit

The hyourin 氷輪 hyourinmaru is actually a literary term for moon. In this case, the viz translation is actually more like the original meaning while the other translation is a more literal translation as ice ring. I think there should be an explanation.

This should be brought up in the Translation Corner. ~Kman111|Talk to me| 06:25, June 20, 2016 (UTC)
This is not a translation issue as thats only for a problem, where as these names have been translated and looked over multiple times. Viz translation is presented as well as literal translation which is the preferred way of translating on this site. What more explanation is there needed then that.--Salubri (Chat) 08:09,6/20/2016
