The Substitute is the complete first season boxset of the Bleach anime released in the United States by Viz Media. The boxset was released on June 10, 2008.[1]

The Boxset contains several extras including:
- Bleach: Behind the Scenes-Contains footage of recording sessions and interviews with the English voice actors.
- Double-Sided poster of a clean version of DVD Volume 1 cover and character designs from the show.
- Dividers with Clean versions of DVD covers from volumes 2-5.
- Clean versions of endings 1 and 2.
- In Limited Editions, A Chain of Fate Wallet Chain was included.[2]
