Prelude

Added by SunXiaRukia Kuchiki and Lieutenant Renji Abarai enter the office of Captain Kuchiki. Rukia apologizes, to which Renji says there might be some clue to explain his actions within his office. Renji consoles her, telling her that he is sure to return, that he would never betray them. She smiles faintly, agreeing with his point of view. Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of a Shinigami, who asks Renji whether he is ready to start his shift.[1]
As he leaves, he tells Rukia not to over-exert herself. While Rukia is alone in Byakuya's office, she glances despondently at his empty seat, contemplating what is going through his head when he is by himself. Rukia awakens and realizes that she must have fallen asleep whilst in his chair. She rubs her eyes as Byakuya's Reiatsu reverberates through the area. Running into the corridor, she finds the bodies of several unconscious Shinigami, as Byakuya stands before her.[1]

Added by SunXiaAt first, Rukia is glad to see him, but stays her distance. She asks him what he is doing here and where has he been, as Senbonzakura points Sode no Shirayuki's broken katana at her, tossing it to the ground unceremoniously. Rukia touches the blade promptly, sensing the lack of Reiatsu, as Senbonzakura states that she is defenseless without a Zanpakutō. Rukia clutches her sword, as Byakuya tells her to stay away from him. She asks him what he means, to which Senbonzakura swings his blade down, intending to kill her.[1]
Battle
However, Renji intervenes, blocking Senbonzakura's strike. Renji pushes him back, as Senbonzakura proceeds to stand before Byakuya. Renji questions his captain's loyalty, to which Byakuya remains silent. He then takes action, claiming that Byakuya is under arrest for conspiring in the Zanpakutō Rebellion. Renji then attacks Byakuya, who pins his blade down. He attempts to release his Shikai, but Byakuya tells him that he shouldn't be able to use his Shikai at the moment.[1]

Added by JirachiwishHowever, Zabimaru's voice echoes from afar, as Zabimaru appears on the scene. Senbonzakura knocks Zabimaru's Shikai away, as Renji is surprised by their sudden appearance. Senbonzakura tells him to return to Muramasa, as he is capable of handling the situation. Chimpette appears to be amused, stating that they should be able to finish their old fight now. As they fight, Chimpette gets the better of him, crashing him through the wall, as they pursue him intently. After their appearance, Byakuya starts to walk away, but his path is blocked by Renji. Byakuya tells his lieutenant that he doesn't have time to waste time here, as he assumes that Renji is ignoring his words. As they charge again, Snakey and Chimpette fight against the captain's Zanpakutō, and are able to fight on par with him. Senbonzakura lashes out with a kick, sending her crashing into a nearby wall. Renji and Byakuya then leave the confines of the 6th Division barracks, whereupon they fight briefly in midair.[1]

Added by JirachiwishRenji proceeds to use Hadō # 31, Shakkahō, which surprises Byakuya slightly. Renji appears from behind, striking at him. Byakuya then comments upon the unorthodox method in which Renji fights without Shikai, stating that it won't be enough to defeat him. Chimpette wields Zabimaru, hurling it at a surprised Senbonzakura, as their blades connect. However, Chimpette's sword dematerializes, appearing in Snakey's hand, sending him crashing into a nearby wall once more. However, Senbonzakura is unperturbed by this and releases his Shikai, causing Zabimaru to go on the defensive. Renji releases another barrage of Shakkahō spells, which Byakuya is able to evade easily. One explodes in Renji's face, giving Byakuya the opportunity to use Hadō # 4, Byakurai, but Renji has seemingly disappeared from that location. Renji appears from behind, utilizing Bakudō # 4, Hainawa, which Byakuya is able to cut through easily.[1]

Added by JirachiwishRenji states that Byakuya is going to reveal his reasons for doing this, as they land on a nearby rooftop. Senbonzakura pursues Zabimaru, using strands of his Shikai's pink petals to attack them. Zabimaru seeks refuge in a nearby building, whereupon Senbonzakura's Shikai surrounds them and Senbonzakura states there is no escape, as Zabimaru then releases its Bankai, Hihiō Zabimaru. Renji berates Byakuya, telling him that he will explain himself to the other captains, Ichigo, the 6th Division and to Rukia. Chimpette releases a Hikotsu Taihō attack upon Senbonzakura, sending him hurtling back by the force of the attack, destroying the building.[1]
The force of the blast causes Renji to lose his balance, which allows Byakuya to use Byakurai upon his surprised lieutenant, sending him crashing backwards. In response to her attack, Senbonzakura releases his own Bankai, resulting in the defeat of Zabimaru. Zabimaru falls to the ground unconscious alongside Renji, as Rukia comes to their aid. Rukia asks whether he is okay, as Byakuya appears before them, telling them to stay out of the Rebellion from here on out.[1]
Aftermath

Added by SunXiaAs Byakuya walks away, the other Zanpakutō spirits appear, asking him if he isn't going to finish them off. Senbonzakura asks why they are here, to which Ruri'iro Kujaku states that Muramasa told them to come and assist them. Kazeshini states that they should just kill them now, as the others surround Renji and Rukia. Renji tells Rukia to run, as they are instantly surrounded by several Onmitsukidō members, as Suì-Fēng tells them to stay where they are. The 11th Division 3rd Seat Ikkaku Madarame and 5th Seat Yumichika Ayasegawa then appear to confront their Zanpakutō spirits.[1]
Ichigo appears on the scene, asking if Rukia is okay. He then notices Byakuya's presence amidst the Zanpakutō, calling out Byakuya's name.[1]
