Lumina (ルミーナ, Rumīna) and Verona (ベローナ, Berōna), are two of Szayel Aporro Granz's Fracción. The two Arrancar were seen up until the end of Szayel's first battle. For some reason though, when Uryū Ishida, Renji Abarai, Pesche Guatiche, and Dondochakka Bilstin return, Verona and Szayel's other Fracción have, for some reason, disappeared. The main reason might be Szayel's orders to leave him alone with his "guests". However, the only ones that stay are apparently two new Fracción of Szayel that act as a throne chair for him.

Appearance
They are two very short and obese Arrancar who first appeared notifying Szayel Aporro of Aaroniero's death. They were almost identical in appearance.
Personality
Lumina and Verona were almost identical in not just appearance but their personalities as well. They were both very energetic Arrancar, and enjoyed repeating the things they had already stated once. Like when Aaroniero Arruruerie was killed, finishing each others sentences and repeating the word "Dead." The two seemed to adore Szayel as well. When they believed him to be injured, they ran to his side immediately.
However, when something negative happens they channel their energy into their despair, as shown when Lumina was killed. Verona wept tears for her fallen friend, shouting his name continuously until Szayel angrily told her to be quiet as he would make a new one.
Synopsis
Hueco Mundo Arc
Lumina and Verona notified Szayel of Aaroniero's death, surprisingly acting as if it was any other event. After this they continued to watch the fight between him and the intruders. After Szayel was heavily injured by Renji and Uryū's explosions, Lumina was eaten by him in order to heal his wounds. Upon seeing this, Verona started crying, but he shouted to her that he would simply make a new one, which quieted her down. Verona's current status is unknown, along with the rest of his Fracción.
Powers and Abilities
Lumina and Verona were not seen using any abilities of their own, presumably because they were created for the sole purpose of restoring their ruler.
Trivia
- Lumina is a commune in Constanţa County Romania, while Verona is a city in Italy.
- Verona, Italy was the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, possibly referencing Szayel Aporro's actor-like personality.
- Lumina and Verona, along with the rest of Szayel Aporro Granz's fracción, are the only known Arrancar that can be recreated without the use of Orihime Inoue's powers.
