Kidō Corps

The Kidō Corps (鬼道衆, Kidōshū) is a separate branch of Soul Society's military that excels in the art of Kidō. It takes students from the Shinigami Academy that excel in Kidō and trains them to further their abilities in said area. Its operations are executed in absolute secrecy, little else is known. During an incident one hundred years ago Jūshirō Ukitake noted how rare it was to see anyone from the Kidō Corps, especially the captain.[1]

Current
As of the current history, it is unknown who holds the position of Captain and Lieutenant and any other notable positions.
Former
Kidō Corps Commander (鬼道衆 総帥, Kidōshū Sōshi) and Grand Kidō Chief (大鬼道長, Dai Kidōchō)
100 years before the main storyline, Tessai Tsukabishi was the Commander of the Kidō Corps. However, when an incident happened where Soul Society lost contact with a vanguard from the 9th Division, Tessai's involvement would eventually lead him to be punished for the use of forbidden Kidō and something that drew him into exile.
Vice Kidō Chief (副鬼道長, Fuku Kidōchō)
100 years before the main storyline, Hachigen Ushōda was the Lieutenant of the Kidō Corps. His involvement, together with his captain, on the incident a hundred years ago would eventually lead him to be forced into exile for "illegally acquiring" Hollow powers.
Insignia
As of current history the name and meaning of the Kidō Corps' Insignia is still unknown.
Special Duties
The Kidō Corps is responsible for opening the Senkaimon between the human world and Soul Society.
