Shrieker explains that before his death he was a serial killer who killed eight people and was famous enough to be on TV. He came after Shibata's mother and stabbed her a dozen times, but she kept trying to run away and protect Shibata. He chased her to a balcony and just as he was about to finish him off, Shibata grabbed his show laces and he lost his balance and fell to his death.
