Genshirō Okikiba (沖牙 源志郎, Okikiba Genshirō) was formerly the 3rd Seat of the 1st Division in the Gotei 13 under Captain-Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto,[2] and is currently the co-lieutenant of the 1st Division in the Gotei 13 under Captain-Commander Shunsui Kyōraku. He shares the position with Nanao Ise.[1]

Appearance
Genshirō has the appearance of an elderly man, with some wrinkles on his forehead and cheeks. His hair is combed back and he has a large mustache. A streak of his hair is dyed black.[2]
Plot
The Thousand-Year Blood War arc
As the Vandenreich attack Soul Society, Genshirō is in Yamamoto's office. Yamamoto states that he is leaving and orders Genshirō to stay and protect the 1st Division's barracks.[3] He is later caught up in Yhwach's destruction of the 1st Division's barracks. [4]
Genshirō survives the explosion. Upon promotion, Shunsui Kyōraku wishes for him to share the position of the Lieutenant of the First Division with Nanao Ise, and is approved. Shunsui assigns Genshirō to "practical business" as a lieutenant. [5]
