Contents

Appearance

Genga is unusual in terms of clothing. He wears yellow armor on his lower half, as well as a yellow eye-patch over his right eye. The white cloak he wears covers his head and acts as a cape. He also has a scar going across his right eye.

Personality

During his fight with Chad, he didnt seem taken by his opponent's abilities, even when they surpassed his own. He relied much on his Bakkōtō, which caused him to almost be devoured.

Synopsis

He is part of the assassination squad set to caught Rurichiyo Kasumiōji under Hanza Nukui. He fought against Yasutora Sado. Chad tries to convince Genga to stop and leave, but he just laughs at him. Once they begin fighting, Chad recognizes the ability of Genga's Bakkōtō to create walls wherever it fires, but Genga claims that it's different from before because he's much stronger than the previous user. Chad fares poorly against Genga at first, however he quickly picks himself back up and is able to stop Genga's next attack with his Brazo Derecha de Gigante. This just causes Genga to power up even more, and the two become very evenly matched.

In order to break the stalemate, Genga surrounds Chad with walls and then merges with those walls so that he can move within them without being seen. Chad realizes too late that Genga has sneaked up behind him. Then, Genga travels between the artificial walls around Chad in order to strike him from behind. Chad tries to run at first, but when this proves to be pointless, he opts to destroy the walls instead. Once he's able to fight Genga again, Chad proves his strength enough for Genga to decide to put everything into a final attack. Chad responds by bringing out the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo, and when the two meet in a massive clash of power. Chad finishes Genga off by using his definitive technique La Muerte. Orihime Inoue comes running onto the scene in time to see an unconscious Chad in front of a giant skull-shaped crater in the ground.

Powers and Abilities

Bakkōtō

Genga's Bakkōtō, Kyokaku.

Genga uses the Bakkōtō Kyokaku (角翼, Horned Wings), which normally takes the form of an oversized guandao. It is attached to the hand with a bendable nuclei, allowing the controller to slash with ease.

Kyokaku's walls.
  • Bakkōtō Special Ability: When Kyokaku is slahed through the air or onto the ground, a green spiritual energy emerges from the blades and uses pressurized air to create walls made out of rock. This technique was powerful enough to contend with Chad's El Directo for a short amount of time. By merging with the walls, Genga can move without being seen and attack with the blade.
