Forums: Index Watercooler Will Bleach End Before 2012?

I want to hear your opinion. Frostymoon 09:52, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

I think this arc will certainly end before then, but will Bleach? I suppose it depends on if Tite can continue to write an interesting plot that keeps readers coming back. If future arcs fail to fascinate, or if Tite himself gets bored, then Bleach may very well end. Of course, I don't have any concrete information, so it's merely guesswork as to what will happen in the next two years. Twocents 03:47, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Supply and demand people, basic business practices. If there is enough demand for something, then the best business marketing approach is to keep the supply coming (aka the manga/anime). If at some point the demand lessens or the supplier finds some reason to stop production of said "product" then yes, the anime or manga will finish off, and Tite will send himself in a direction that he feels will benefit the public as well as himself. Either a brand new evolution of Bleach, or something completely different. As of now, it doesn't seem like he is going to stop any time soon. There is enough public demand for more Bleach all the time, especially in Japan. The people don't want it to end just yet. We shall see how long it lasts =). It could be a new Naruto, and pick up a "naruto shippuden" approach and extend the series for a long time. So in other words, my guess is that the series will continue well past 2012. Well in 2012 Bleach will be 11 years old. That was around the about the time Inuyasha and Dragonball ended. On the other hand One Piece is in its 12th years and Naruto in its 10th. I don't follow either of those two series but I gather there is no sign of either of them ending any time soon. In one of his past interviews, Kubo said "I can't really say how long this story will be by the time it ends, but I have a few more stories that I want to tell, so this series will go on for a while." This was when Bleach was upto volume 33. Certainly in the 8 volumes since the interview, Kubo has told a few more stories about the characters in the Bleach universe and stuff but I don't think he had run out of stories to tell yet. So no I don't think Bleach will end before 2012. Tinni 07:45, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

With all the fun stuff we've heard about so far with the Royal Realm where the King of Soul Society resides being guarded by powerful ex-Gotei 13 captains, I can only hope that Aizen either makes the key to open up the realm, or they come forward first realizing he's that much of a threat. After all, not only has Aizen not even gotten serious with anyone who has came up against him, he has yet to show his Bankai. I just feel that there is no way it's close to ending or will end with this fight above fake Karakura. And we haven't learned about Isshin Kurosaki's past either. This story has become so cool and complex that I think if Tite Kubo wanted to, this could go on for much longer so long as the public enjoys it. I know I enjoy it, it's original, the characters are all great, and the fight scenes are the best. Not to mention this has got to be the best drawn out cartoon ever with everyone looking so unique, it's just awesome. I look forward to all the new stuff coming out, while only grumbling just a bit with the fillers. —This unsigned comment is by Shunsui Kyoraku (talkcontribs) 02:53, 5 November 2009 (UTC). I don't think bleach is going to in in 2012. It is at it's 13 season and it has I think 44 volumes. Shows like bleach, naruto, one piece aren't going end no time soon and what is so special about 2012 is it because the doomsday think. Flaminghorse4:29, November 13 2009 (UTC)

I think it wont because....well 1st off Kenpachi hasnt even found out his zanpakuto's name yet. 2nd off Grimmjow didnt die so where is he?.. There are lots of questions to be answered and plenty of time so i dont think it will end. User:Ulquiorra'sApprentice Let Darkness consume us all..... 00:06, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

There seem to be very few anime that run constantly for such a long time. Naruto is the obvious example but even that had a time skip to keep it fresh. i am worried that with the decimation of the Captains and other captain level Vizard that any future stories will either need to fall short or the same will happen. Unfotunately Aizen is such a powerful foe that no future foe could ever be more powerful and the Gotei 13 stand a chance at beating them. I could imagine a Shiuppuden style time skip to get rid of overused characters like Toshiro and make way for new captains (possibly HIsagi). This would change up the pace enough to allow for a decent new adversary but what to do with the human characters?? Personally i would see this continuity of Bleach end with this arc and have the premise used in a new story to keep things fresh. Nick D Wolfwood 11:35, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

From what I know of Naruto, that series is supposed to enter one more part like Shippuden (yes, apparently Naruto was to be split into Three Parts, and in the direction it is going doesn't seem like anything is getting old fast)...and Dragon Ball started out as its own series, but due to popular demand a second one picked up and ran for almost 3 times as long (with a third series following with even less episodes than the previous two). But to Bleach, there is a lot that still needs to be covered....Vasto Lordes anyone? I remember this being a strong plot point and apparently the now wiped out Espada were Adjuchas class (with maybe Ulquiorra being of Lordes level). And of course the Key and the King...I imagine if Aizen falls soon for any reason, they'd probably pick up with a new type of enemy...or maybe finally bring HELL into the picture? We saw a glimpse way back in the first about giving us an eyefull? I'm saying a new enemy from Hell, and probably a venture down there eh? There's many possibilites for Tite if he just picks up his old ideas and runs with them after this lengthy arc. TVthePunisher 06:23, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
