Hollowfication

I dont agree with Process 2. It states that:

Unknown Infection: It is unclear how the other Visored gained their current status. What is known is that Sōsuke Aizen was instrumental in the Hollowfication process (though whether he knew of the full potential of the results is left to be questioned). This process used seems to spread as some form of possible infection through wounds, that has the desired effects on souls with high-level spiritual energy as compared to souls with low-level spiritual energy, causing those infected great sickness and fatigue, until they vomit up a white liquid that forms the beginnings of their Hollow mask, which then proceeds to transform their bodies and warp their minds. Other than that all that is known is that the process is accelerated by aggressive emotions.[4] The conclusive result makes a Shinigami into a primarily Hollow-like humanoid, which is a highly unstable transformation causing mindlessness and aggression.[5] But it states on the Hogyoku page that:

Sometime, before Urahara even conceived the concept of the Hōgyoku, Sōsuke Aizen had already come to the same conclusion, having created one of his own. Realizing that it was still incomplete, Aizen presented to it the souls of hundreds upon hundreds of Shinigami and Rukongai citizens, to no avail. In time, Aizen analyzed the research data concerning Urahara’s own Hōgyoku, learning that it too, was incomplete. With this in mind, Aizen sought to steal Urahara’s Hōgyoku, and to present it to his own.[1] Roughly 101 years before the current time, Sōsuke Aizen put an experiment into motion that would put the true capabilities of the Hōgyoku to the test. With the help of his subordinates, he forcibly caused Shinji Hirako and a number of other Shinigami captains and lieutenants to undergo Hollowfication. In an attempt to reverse the damage Aizen had caused, Kisuke Urahara attempted to use the Hōgyoku on them. However, while it succeeded in stabilizing their souls, it failed to undo the Hollowfication. Framed for the incident by Aizen, Kisuke fled to the world of the living with the group of Shinigami, bringing his Hōgyoku along with him. Eventually, the group of Shinigami gained control over their newfound Hollow powers and became known as the Visored, rogues rumored to have gained Hollow powers through illegal means.[2] So the Unkown Infection is disproved and I try to have it changed when I have enough proof that I am right. Why don't you agree with it? It is referenced, hence it was stated in the actual manga, which makes it a fact. Whether or not you chose to agree or not does not change the fact that that is what Kubo wrote. Ten Tailed Fox (Talk with me) 02:38, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

I have watched the Episode and read the manga and it does not state that it was a virus. But you do have a point. Charon12 (talk) 02:40, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

The episode is anime. Anything the anime changes does not make it fact. The manga does state that Aizen's Hollowfication was the result of an airborne virus that caused the souls of its victims to basically de-materialize, because they could not Hollowify properly. Actually it states that they think it is a virus. It is not proven. I also believe that the people that vanished were used to create Aizens Hōgyoku. If it was a virus the 7 that changed, should have vanished like everyone else. Charon12 (talk) 03:06, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Why would you assume that? The ones that vanished had significantly low spiritual pressure. The ones that changed were vice-captain to captain-level Shinigami. Of course they aren't going to just vanish. Ten Tailed Fox (Talk with me) 03:09, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
It was said to be a virus. Just because you think it may be different does not make it so. We only put referencable information on pages. Until you can provide us with a page that says that Aizen's Hogyoku is what was used, this is not changing.--GodPray  03:09,8/18/2011

I just reread the chapter and it says that they think it is a virus. In later chapters the answers might be given. We will see. Charon12 (talk) 03:16, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
