i watch bleach with closed captioning and also read the manga, and the captions state his name as Kamen, now they are probably not right, or that is what the author has decided to call him, i don't know, what i do know is that it is more simple than hollow ichigo or ogihci, (i would probably sound like adam sandler in that zohan movie if i said that outloud)but that is what i will refer to him as from now on. have a very nice day and feel free to reply :DCmcwiki 05:27, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, Kamen usualy translates to mask, thus its oveously refering to the hollow mask, and probably a placeholder name. the inner hollow is ichigo, or rather a alternate side or personality of him, thus most likely shares the same name. at least thats what I think. --CloudHiro 07:43, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

I have to agree with Cloud too, the hollow is merly just a copy of the hollow self in Ichigo so i guess the proper name would be Ichigo or Hollow Ichigo, but for all we know there may be some hidden name like a release form that Ichigo has to find just like he had to with zangestu. -Votinh

Wow im actually surprised, the idea of him having to have a release name for his inner hollow. Him having to basically fully tame it just like he did with the spirit of his zanpakuto. Its completely original thought. More so then any of the speculation done on the Inner Hollow. For the longest time it seemed like everyone was making more of the inner hollow then what was there. But this concept is more probable when you think of it. The vizard stated that the fight with the inner hollow is something they have had to go through at some point as well. So it would be correct to assume that it could have been the next step in training ichigo missed out on when he left. Like he first had to learn the name of his zanpakuto in all that and then he had to fight zangetsu and win to achieve bankai. then with the vizard powers it seems sort of like the opposite process he had to fight and beat his inner hollow in order to use the mask without the inner hollow taking over and now he would have to learn his inner hollows name to fully control his powers. I mean thats a leap but in many ancient cultures names have power to know a name is to give control or greater control over what is being brought forth. As in the series Urahara has stated there is a difference between knowing a name and not knowing it. As more is brought out when you know the name as you attain more control. just a thought.
