Just a heads up on something I have recently become aware of. Virtually all of the time I spend on Bleach Wiki is logged in, which as well as allowing me to edit has the added benefit of hiding all (or most) advertising on the site. I log in as soon as I open the site and don't normally browse after logging out, while my home computer is permanently logged in. However, I was recently unable to log in for a time and spent a while browsing the site as any non-registered user would see it. I was shocked at how many ads there were (5 per page for the most part), but I also noticed that the individual episodes pages suffered a serious issue with an ad box wrecking the statistics section. Check out these links The Day I Became a Shinigami and Power of the Soul! Los Lobos, Attack! to see what I am referring to. As this is something controlled by Wikia, I have sent in a request to have the box move or removed altogether, though I do not truly expect them to bother given the impending skin change. Hello.

Our advertising team is in the middle of a transition from an old system, to a new one. Some ads are being enabled for the wrong slots (positions) in the process. Please give us a little time to work out the problems in the new system.

Logged in users dont see these ads, only the 1 or 2 on the mainpage of the wiki.

Just a quick follow-up on this - no longer an issue due to the New Look moving the ads to the sidebar. ~~Ууp ^<talk> 10:15, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

I am not sure if you are aware of this but Wikia reserves the right to change the background for any logged out user to an ad that may have nothing to do with the wiki they are on. This happened recently with the gaming wikis. All logged out users saw an ad for WOW's latest expansion even if they were on the Mass Effect wiki. There is not much that can be done about this but I figured I would let people know.--God (Pray) 16:02, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Yup, heard about that a while ago and was a bit shocked by it. It would be one thing if it had the support of the community before it is put up, but without that I cant accept something like that ever happening. It was a while ago, but from what i remember from whichever forum it was on Central I got the sense that admins/regularly logged in users were not aware of it :/ ~~Ууp ^<talk> 19:10, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
