Ulquiorra Cifer is an Arrancar and the 4th Espada. His aspect of death is Emptiness.
Ulquiorra and Yammy are the first members of the Espada to enter the Human World, where Ulquiorra collects information on Ichigo Kurosaki and later orchestrates the capture of Orihime Inoue whom he takes with him to Hueco Mundo. When Ichigo and friends attempt a rescue and defeat all but the four strongest Espada, Ulquiorra is left in charge of Las Noches while the rest of Aizen's forces attack the Human World. Ulquiorra stands as Ichigo's final challenge to rescue Orihime, and while he initially seems evenly matched against Ichigo's Hollowfication and Bankai, Ulquiorra's Resurrección lets him effortlessly overpower Ichigo time and time again until he decides to demonstrate true despair and reveals a secondary form, Segunda Etapa.
