El Escudo (エル・エスクド, Eru Esukudo; Spanish for "The Shield") is a Kidō spell. It was used by Sōsuke Aizen to block an attempted sneak attack by Shunsui Kyōraku during the battle in Fake Karakura Town. While both the number and classification of this particular spell is not expressly stated, it most resembles a Bakudō (binding) spell.
