    Adam and Eve

You know the story: Eve was tempted by the snake to eat the forbidden fruit, and Adam following suit. From there, they were punished and banished from Eden. So how does this apply in Bleach? We know that Aizen had something to do with the increase of Hollow appearance in Kurakara town. This led to one of them attacking the Kurosaki residence in the first episode. Because of the Hogyoku inside her, Rukia has been weakened and was unable to kill the hollow. Thus, she was forced to turn Ichigo to a Shinigami – an act forbidden by the Gotei 13.

From then on, these two were forced to learn from the new world that they live in – Ichigo had to learn the ways of a Shinigami, and Rukia had to cope with living as a human. So right there, …

Soken Ishida is the grandfather of Uryu Ishida and father of Ryuken Ishida. Although he had a close bond with the former, it’s the complete opposite to the latter. Because he is constantly not around during Ryuken’s childhood, the two had grown distant. But it was never specified as to what kept him busy during those years, aside from being a doctor.

At an early age, Soken has taught Uryu the ways of the Quincy – techniques, innate abilities and equipments. And according to Uryu, he was trying to make arrangements with the Shinigami so they can work together to defeat Hollows. But the very nature of the Quincy power prevented that from happening. Could Soken have known about Juha Bach and his second coming? More importantly, could he have k…

These are the top 10 most weakest/disappointing Bankais in Bleach!!!

Okay guys let’s get right into the flame war and discuss some of the worst and most disappointing Bankai(s) throughout the history of Bleach. To make this unfortunate list, the users of their respective Bankais must either have a Bankai that is either inefficient, lame, didn’t live up to MY expectations or just plain disappointing. Of course these are my opinions of course, and I would love to hear your opinions. Just to iterate, these are my opinions guys, and of course you wouldn’t all agree but I love meaningful discussion.

    1. Ichigo Kurosaki – Tensa Zangetsu So we barely know anything about this Bankai because the troll lord Yhwach broke it..... twice!!! It’s big, it’…

Since the content of the 74th and final volume of Bleach was leaked online a few days prior to it's official release, many fans are complaining about the lack of extra content it holds... Which is reasonable I guess.

However, following it's official release today, it seems like we won't be left with an empty void of nothingness after all: there is apparently an announcement for two novels on the wrap around the volume jacket; the first one being about "Renji and Rukia's story", which will be released in December of this year and the next one will be about "Hisagi's battle", which is due for a release in 2017.

I have no information about when the two novels are set within the Bleach timeline. I'm guessing it's during the 10 year time-skip for…

    Ichigo the Nephilim

One interpretation of the Nephilim is that they are the offspring of an angel and a human. And in some cases, they are considered as a bad omen. In pop culture, they are even considered to be the cause of doomsday.

The Shinigami is probably the closest we can get to a Bleach version of an angel. Ironic, considering that they translate into Grim Reaper in the West. And although they lack the ability to do divine and miracle works, they still have the ability to purify souls and usher them to Soul Society.

As for the Quincy, though they have the ability to manipulate reishi, they are still considered human.

Ichigo from the very start always wanted a normal life. But he nevertheless finds himself in the middle of two opposing …

It's been over three months since I last wrote a blog on here and I don't know how many people are actually gonna see this, but I figure it's worth a shot.

The final arc's handling of characters old and new was...inconsistent, to say the least. Many characters, such as the Visored, who should've had their time to shine were pushed aside yet again, while mainstays like Kenpachi, Hitsugaya, and Byakuya were not only heavily featured, especially toward the end, but even brought back from the dead due to fan outcry (I stand by the fact that this happened to Byakuya fite me scrubs). However, I want to take time to focus on the characters, returning and newly introduced during the final 207 chapters, who were genuinely and properly handled for mo…

Juha Bach - A Biblical Interpretation

A lot of Youtubers have labelled Juha Bach as the "Quincy Jesus" - from the way he healed people ever since he was a child, to him being the son of the god of the Bleachverse, to his godlike abilities to see and change the future.

But it goes further than that. If you recall Christian beliefs 101, you can see that the Old and New Testament varied vastly with their themes. Where the God of the Old Testament has a more Dictatorial rule - Noah and the flood, Genocide, Tower of Babel, etc. Then comes the New Testament, where Jesus encouraged humility and mercy, what with Do-not-do-unto-others and Forgive-them-for-they-know-not-what-they-do kinds of quotes. Could it be that Kubo intended to make a parallel wi…

    Aizen = Lucifer???

It's not uncommon for a Bleach fan to compare Aizen with Lucifer, the fallen angel in Christian theology who was cast down to hell to rule until the day of judgment. Being thought of at first to be a kind captain of squad five, he turned out to be a master manipulator just so he can get the Hogyoku from Urahara and wage war against Seireitei.

His ultimate goal being to create the Soul King's key and kill the Soul King, it's reminiscent of how Lucifer intended to rally all the other fallen angels to wage war against the Christian God. He managed to gather some of the strongest hollows he can find and turn them into Arrancar (which probably makes them the demons?)

But what's interesting, and I think Kubo was also planning to …

The Thousand Year Blood War arc, I'm not going to lie, was by and large atrocious. Despite initial promise, it featured poor and inconsistent characterizations, dull settings, bad fights and powerups, I could write blogs upon blogs talking about how bad it is. But that's what EVERYONE's doing now, and honestly it can ultimately get kinda depressing. There were parts of this arc that I loved, and I feel that it's fair to give them a little spotlight.

The Soul King was probably the most legendary figure in the series, something opened to endless speculation and discussion. The scope of his power and position was interesting, and what we got was...interesting, certainly. Instead of being some grandiose, all-powerful figure, the Soul King's sht…

So shortly before the Thousand Year Blood War arc began (four years ago, wow), a user on this wiki made a blog where he took information from some omakes that hinted at things that would happen in this arc. Now that this arc is finally over, it's time to look back and see which forecasts were right, and which weren't.

    • Yamamoto has become softer Uh, I suppose this could be true with his grief over Sasakibe, but then this causes him to go nuts on the Quincies the likes of which even the Arrancar didn't face.

Song to weep to while tearing into this final chapter: "Thank You!", the first ending theme of the anime

Well...here we are. Far sooner than expected or deserved for some, far later than it should've been for others, but we've officially reached the end.

As with last chapter, I'm mainly just gonna cover the stuff introduced because it's less a plot and more a string of introductions and explanations - which isn't a bad thing, especially after all the flak this arc has gotten for having chapters with little content or whatever.

So first off, we get some great color pages of the OG cast ensemble plus Renji. I've always loved Kubo's color pages, and these are no exception. Then, we get some of the captains investigating the Reiatsu thing mention…

With that out of the way, let me get right to the point: I'd like some help in writing a Bleach fanfiction.

Yeah, yeah, I know, cringe-worthy indeed. However, I think I have a fairly solid overall arching plot with well-rounded and non-Mary Sue characters that doesn't branch out from canon too far and certainly doesn't break it altogether. I could certainly use help with solidifying and clearing up the fuzzier details. Since this is very obviously a website dedicate to proper canon Bleach information, I won't discuss the subject of my request here because I feel that that wou…

Song to listen to while reading this chapter: "Life Is Like A Boat"

On the plus side, the title is misleading and we've still got a chapter and a major announcement left to go. On the other hand...Bleach is still ending. Cue every Linkin Park song playing simultaneously to express my current emotional state.

This is where I'd normally write the play-by-play, but I stayed up all night and into the morning for this chapter because for some likely ungodly reason, Stream decided to change up their release schedule for no reason and release it after One Piece and frickin' Nisekoi instead of first thing in the morning, so I'm raelly tired and still digesting all the status quo changes here. Song to listen to while reading this chapter: "I Will Not Die" by Three Days' Grace

Wow. Just...wow. I didn't want to believe the news of Bleach ending next week with 685, but I'm hard-pressed to think of what else this pacing could mean.

So we start off where we left off last week with Ichigo cutting Yhwach in half. Yhwach proceeds to melt into a puddle of eyebally black goop as Aizen finally explains his masterwork keikaku: he released Kyōka Suigetsu against Yhwach (idk how he got it back but okay), proved that Absolute Hypnosis could affect Yhwach even with The Almighty, then waited for Ichigo to show up and rek him because Ichigo would be the only other combatant not affected by the illusions. Sound plan, but unfortunately Aizen's cut off by …

When you keikaku and the God-Emperor of the Quincy keeps falling for it

So we start off with Ichigo predictably getting rekted by another energy blast that actually destroys part of Sōkyoku Hill. Guess there won't be anymore illogical and power-motivated executions for a while. Yhwach asks the burning question of why Ichigo didn't have Orihime patch him up before he followed him through the portal and chalks it up to a perceived lack of time on his part, though he already told Ichigo that he can't change anything. Suddenly, though, Renji apparently mans up and tries to get a hit on Yhwach with his Bankai, only for Yhwach to just up and blow off one of his arms - …

Song to listen to while reading this chapter: "Symphony No. 9 in E Minor" by Antonin Dvořák

Well, that chapter was something alright.

So we start off with quite possibly the most anticipated confrontation of this arc as Yhwach arrives not in the Human World, not in the distant past...but in the Seireitei, where he finds none other than Aizen in his way. Not gonna lie, I honestly thought he was getting an epic burn in on Lille from that first page about "being in a sorry state", but I'll gladly take more Sōsukaku over Lofulamingo any day. Back in Wahrwelt, however, Uryū's stair-climbing escapades are interrupted by his dad, who in a fit of trigger-happy rage nearly shoots him with a silver arrowhead before rubbing in the fact that Yhwach killed …

Okay, so I keep accidentally writing the title of this chapter as "THE END WORLD TWO" like it's in a Mario game or something, but more importantly this chapter was AMAZING.

So we start off with a direct continuation to the end of last chapter, wherein Renji tries to attack Yhwach, who just breaks off the end of Zabimaru and drops it a la Aizen (at least, I think he did that too). Then we cut back to Uryū and Haschwalth, where it turns out that despite what a certain user last week predicted, Haschwalth ain't even mad about Yhwach taking his powers and lifeforce because it means that 1. his powers are worth more than Uryū's, and 2. he is a valuable asset to Yhw…

Song to listen to while reading this chapter: "SAIL" by AWOLNATION

You know, this chapter could've been titled "What The Hell 2" and I don't think anyone would've questioned it.

So after an unexpected but cool color page featuring the new and improved Yhwach (with a cheeky note that says there are only chapters left to go), we start off with Yhwach putting his money where his mouth is and successfully draining Ichigo's power via a million billion Blut veins everywhere. Poor Ichigo's feeling the powers that his mom gave him fading away, and shortly afterward passes out. Cue enormous evil laugh from Yhwach as darkness erupts. But more importantly, we cut back to Glasses vs. Hair, where Uryū's managed to avoid Haschwalth's sword on his own in…

Title basically says it, what goofy/nonsensical change would you give any Bleach character?

I myself would give Ichigo a German mustache, monocle, and a top hat. Only other alteration is that he says "My Word!" or "Great Scott!" when something he would normally swear at happens.

Yamamoto would be given a huge Afro, like what Nordberg from Naked Gun had in the flashback scene, he is otherwise unchanged.

Ryuken would always be doing that hand stand rapid dash thing that Isshin did, with a completely serious face and no acknowledgement by anyone that something is weird about it.

Kisuke would have the voice of Kermit the Frog, he already kind of wears green so otherwise unchanged.

    Soul King is Grumpy Cat.

Curious to see what you guys come up with.

Oh right Ichigo's future husbando is also fighting I almost forgot

So we start off with Yhwach claiming that his ultra-hax Schrift isn't all that different from Ichigo and Orihime's powers because he can still only affect what he can see - that just happens to be all of fate. Oh, and let's not gloss over the badass claim that Ichigo was only able to overcome despair in his previous battles because Yhwach wasn't there. Finally, Yhwach tops it off with one of the most gloriously ham-and-cheesy lines from a villain in this series, "Go on...you can despair now." God I love this guy. Surprisingly, however, we cut to Uryū v. Haschwalth in the court of futility, where Uryū is …

    True Shinigami

    June 22, 2016 by Riptide240

Ok, so after assessing the definition of a soul reaper and in light of Ichigo's training at the Royal Guard Palace, I've seen that Ichigo now fits the description to be called a Shinigami. So apparently, a Shinigami is a soul that trains to hone their Reyrioku and wields an Asauchi- originated Zanpakuto. Ichigo, in his spirit body, not only received a true Asauchi from Oetsu, but trained formally under Ichibei and was deemed a "True Shinigami" by Hikifune. Do you guys think this means Ichigo fits the qualifications for being a Soul Reaper now?

Yhwach: How sad. I've broken your sword, your horn, and now, it would seem I have broken your spirit.

    Ichigo remains motionless.

Yhwach: I had such hopes for you too; you are my greatest creation, after all.

Well that was legitimately hilarious, partially because of all the butthurt it's generating.

So we start off with a short rehash of last chapter's last page, with Ichigo recalling all the times he's ever despaired until this point (with the obligatory Masaki flashback) before activating his Bankai in a big burst of energy. Turns out, it's another fancy khyber knife or whatever with, as some people guessed, the smaller Zangetsu blade inside of the larger one and the name still being Tensa Zangetsu. However, literally the next spread after the reveal, half the blade is missing, leading Ichigo to realize that Yhwach is the culprit as the latter smugly drops the broken blade fro…

Well that was definitely a chapter. Let's get into it.

So we start off with Yhwach still getting hit by the crescent moon-like Getsuga Rey Cero. He's a little fazed, but apparently Ichigo's still out of his league, as Yhwach just kinda grabs and throws the attack back at him. As the two start clashing, Yhwach details Ichigo's pretty logical thought process of "he doesn't know how strong I am so let's take advantage of that", only to hammily proclaim that THE WINDOW IS SHUT as a bunch of eyes appear on his body, which I guess means The Almighty is on once more given his subsequent note that he can't underestimate Ichigo anymore. Wow. Just wow.

So we start off with an appropriate reaction of "wtf omg no pls" from Orihime, who is quickly calmed by Ichigo being...still himself instead of raging bull man a la his fight with Ulquiorra. Yhwach guesses that this is the form Ichigo takes when he's merged with his Hollow powers, and Ichigo confirms this with an explanation of how his separate powers work: with his Zanpakutō reforged, they're usually in balance with one another, so forcefully disrupting that balance will draw them out. This is also why he didn't use this form until now; he can't quite control it manually, so he has to clash with a cubic buttload of Quincy Reiatsu in order to trig…

Cue another broken record mention as Haschwalth reminds him that he's already seen a future of the good guys dying, only for Uryū to counter-remind him that said future can change. So we start off with more Schoolgirl vs. Yhwach, who expands on his "I'm ur dad lol" schtick from last week with a declaration that Ichigo's power belongs to him, so he should just expend it all and die, but not before they enjoy this fight. One thing that's worth noting from this exchange, though, is the panels of rain in the first few pages; at first, I wasn't sure why they were there, but after re-reading I'm 100% positive they're meant to represent Ichigo flashing back to his mother's death, likely because of hos callously Yhwach…

I don't like writing introductions, so I'll just say that for this current arc Kubo has treated the original 5 Karakura characters very poorly. Below is my rant. Share your thoughts in the comments.

The thing about Ichigo is that in this arc he hasn't really undergone what most protagonists have, that being him having to overcome some kind of real adversity to gain victory over the antagonists. Throughout this entire arc, Ichigo has hardly ever been an underdog. Sure, he's powerful, I get it (though I'd expect him to have some rust after not using Zanjutsu for 2.5 years). But Ichigo has barely struggled with most of his opponents in this arc. He steamrolled Ebern, he steamrolled Shaz, and he steamrolled Candice. Not only does this do a great…

Oh look, I actually read this chapter on my laptop and got to edit the wiki instead of having to hurriedly squint at my phone while at work. Isn't that nice?

Saltyness aside, we start off with Renji and Rukia making their way through the rubble when they suddenly spot Gerard in his new new form...which, now that we've seen it from the side, I actually really dig. Somehow, it's even cooler than his Norse warrior form from a few chapters ago. They also notice Hotsugaya, whom Rukia immediately assumes is actually Hitsugaya's older brother for much hilarity. Suddenly, everyone looks at the center palace as they sense Ichigo being Ichigo. Cut to Yhwach, who notes that …

Hey y'all, it's Mrlmm0605 coming to talk to you about Bleach! This is not a discussion of individual episodes or chapters; rather, it is a look at the main ideas of Bleach, illustrated using examples from the story to prove a point. It is to be noted that, as this blog uses examples from Bleach fiction to make its point, there are unmarked spoilers contained throughout, so read at your own risk. Also, this blog is NOT a replacement for the Wiki's pages on the subject of discussion; I will not tell you what something is, but I will discuss what I think it means. The thoughts portrayed below will not be embraced by everyone, and I welcome dissenting opinions in the comments. Please, keep all responses within the confines of Bleach Wiki's Po…

Alright, this'll be shorter than usual because I'm writing on my phone at work. I'm starting to notice a pattern with the chapters I'm missing - 652, 662, 672. Must be a conspiracy.

Anyhoo, chapter was aight. If you thought Gerard would stay down, well, you're probably expecting the wrong things from this series - at this point I'm not even sure that parts of the Soul King can be killed, at least not after their powers kick in.

Uryū falls to the power of the offscreen yet again. Given how one-sided Bazz vs. Haschwalth was I'm not surprised Kubo decided to skip it.

And Ichigo's finally met his darkness father yaaaay. Oh, and maybe Orihime will be useful. Possibly.

Overall I'd give this chapter five footballs out of seven poses.

While its been established that Ichigo's Mum is a Quincy (and a rather accomplished one too), it would stand to reason that Ichigo, himself, has some sort of latent Quincy powers. However, this is not the case at all, up to now.

However, heres a few questions raised.

Haschwalth was a Quincy who didn't have powers as a child, however, it was revealed that he was "the Quincy born every 200 years who shared his ability to empower others."

Way back in the early days of Bleach, when the Quincy were first introduced, Tessai stated that they died "200 years ago".

And this is where we get back to the question of Ichigo. Basically born 200 years after the wiping out of the Quincy, Ichigo is someone who has Quincy blut running through his veins, howeve…

Song to listen to while reading this chapter: "Inside The Fire" by Disturbed

DAMN KUBO BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE AWESOME CHAPTERS

So we start off with a bit of elaboration on last week's reveal: apparently, Hitsugaya was previously only able to use his Bankai for 12 minutes before it became unusable due to being too powerful, so he circumvented this by...aging himself up so he could control said power. Hey, works for me. Naturally, Gerard initially doesn't know who he is, but upon learning is glad that Hitsugaya is now an adult because he's more fit to fight him. Hitsugaya dodges a ground stab before freezing Gerard's Captain America maneuver thrown shield in midair widda flick of da wrist, once again repeating his "don't drop things on Soul …

Well this was a long time coming, and I am here again with another blog about Quincy Jesus aka Gerard. Guy has developed in an infuriating way since I last talked about him four months ago. We know that the powers of The Miracle go beyond him simply regenerating body parts, but the explanation for its true power has been quite vague so far. Due to how little we know so far about some of the things I'll be talking about, there's gonna be a lot of heavy speculation, although I'll try to keep it reasonable.

In Chapter 668 Gerard stated that The Miracle is the power of the masses. His body keeps growing back because of fear of the masses. He keeps his blade Hoffnung in the hope of the masses, so the masses felt despair should it become chipped. The …
