We got to see a sort of resolution to the conflict between Katagiri and Ryūken, and the way she revealed what she felt was her purpose, I think there's some legitimacy to the theory of her being Uryū's mother, though she is much older than Ryūken if she was taking care of him as a child. However, we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Urahara said that there are racial opposites: Quincies - Shinigami Humans - Hollows

Isshin was made a Human/Shinigami to counteract Masaki being turned into a Quincy/Hollow right? And had that whole "special string" shabang on the go.

So if Ichigo is basically a Human, Shinigami, Quincy, Hollow type thing right. He's like the "perfect" being/experiment. When Hirako and friends, Masaki and Isshin needed to be "stabilized" by Urahara, Ichigo can do it all Naturally because hes basically bred between the things being stabilized.

Who do you think the other 3 Special War Powers are, we already known Ichigo and Kenpahci are the other 2, but who do you think others are? Uryu could be one but I think he is probably one that Yhwach wants to join as one of his own 'Special War Powers', like he asked Aizen, but we don't know. There could be Kisuke, because of his intellect and since he has now one of those Medallions that can steal bankai and maybe find a way to negate it. So Masaki wasn't actually cured of the Hollowfication, which is interesting. I applaud Kubo for not pulling a plotkai moment and making her magically okay again, and instead making it an alternative which also ties into Isshin himself. Props for not taking the easy way out.

Now we know how Urahara stabilized the souls of the Visored. While the process seems a bit complicated, I get what he's saying, and it's a lot more thought out than I believed it would be. Ryūken, while mainly sitting in the background for most of that chapter, provided a remarkable contrast between his current and past self with his outbursts and reasoning, which I like.

Just a couple plot related thoughts to chuck out there that may have been overlooked in light of the whole Isshin Shiba thingy.

Who do you reckon would take over as Eighth Division Captain since Shunsui got "Promoted" to Head Captain, Love Aikawa? Isshin? Or someone completely new and unheard of? Or maybe a Leiutenant (E.g. Renji)?

Also, what do you think Oshō and Senjumaru Shutara invented for Soul Society? I personally think that Senjumaru invented the Senkaimon, as "she simply placed her hands on its door and it opened by itself." Maybe that could be foreshadowing the Senkaimon? Or it could be the Shutara Scale referred to by the 12 Division members in Chapter 480.

So Isshin went back to the Human World to see Masaki, Ryūken and the aunt are fine, Katagiri told the aunt about Masaki's fight with White, and Urahara intends to help cure Masaki. That's all well and good, but I want to get to the big part of the chapter.

White wounding Masaki somehow infected the latter with some sort of virus. Now, I don't intend to get into White being the basis for Hollow Ichigo and Ichigo's Fullbring because that's a scary place to go, but Kubo has opened the speculation floodgates with this chapter. Great chapter. I didn't see any flaws with this. I can see where it is heading. I reckon Isshin will stabilise the hollow reishi by transferring his soul reaper powers into her.

Athough if Urahara knew Ryuken and Masaki, then I wonder why he played dumb with Rukia early in Bleach and said he thought they were killed off XD

It is interesting that Urahara is helping quincies, in fact two soul reapers are helping the quincies. That should perhaps change the way the Ishida house views soul reapers if they think negatively about them. So, we've got the fight's resolution, which is nice. Kubo sure had us going there with Isshin mentioning his Bankai, didn't he? Oh well, guess that's gonna be saved for another day.

Anyhow, on to the actual events. So White is dead and gone, having blown up. When I saw the frame with his explosion, I thought he was utilizing High-Speed Regeneration for a second, which would've been interesting because that kind of power and endurance likely would've forced Isshin to at least try to use his Bankai. But the main thing I find interesting is that Masaki was able to kill it in one hit, albeit by aiming at its head. That kind of power level is not something that kind be glossed over later, and it'll be interesting to see how she uses it.

i am new here so forgive if i spell something wrong or am mis informed, but ok itchigo's dad's zanpacto is named engetsu his is zangetsu they both use getsuga tensho, and zangetsu said in the anime when itchigo regained his power after rukia got taken that itchigo was already a soul reaper, now his dad said he's not so i am confused to how that is posible even if isshin lost his powers using the final getsuga tensho his powers would return like itchigo's even though the others gave him a portion of their power. so how is he not if he is isshins son?

Anyone else have the thought that this new hollow 'White' we see Isshin fighting may have something to do with hollow Ichigo? I'm saying this due to the images of 'White' seems very similar to Hollow Ichigo's final form we've seen and also the mention from Tousen about it being white and being completely based off a Shinigami soul? After all Ichigo is the only Shinigami to become a Visored without the 'help' of Aizen. And with White fighting both of Ichigo's parents could White's essence somehow be passed on to Ichigo during the fight. It's just speculation but anyone else thinking something like this?

So, the Hollow creature is called White. Thank god we have a name, now I have don't have to keep calling it the Hollow creature thingy or whatnot - it was like Superchunky all over again, I tell you what. Besides its name, it's apparently based off of a Shinigami's soul (50 points to Lemursrule), which would explain the sealed hole and fighting style. Apparently, Aizen has high expectations for it: if it can't beat a captain-class Shinigami using his Shikai, it's a failure.

Hi there, this is my first blog in this wiki and I have been dying to get an answer for this.

It is well believed that Aizen was defeated at the hands of Ichigo but this event still haunts me until this day. Is it possible that Aizen just really wanted to find someone who can fight him without him holding back? Since Aizen is considered as one of the greatest prodigies Soul Society ever produced, maybe he just wanted someone who can hold him back, push him to his limits and defeat him? So we all know that the hogyoku was the main driving force of bleach's plot. But I've been wondering what exactly it is. I hope we can all agree that upon appearance it appears to be a form of energy contained within a case. I'm also hoping we can agree that the hogyoku refers only to the contents of the case and not the case itself. but this leads me to wonder. what is the hogyoku? is it a life form? some sort of biological being? it seems to behave as one in its ability to detect hearts. it may also be tech, considering the fact that it can be created. Well, that was interesting.

I find it interesting that this Hollow has had its hole healed/sealed. Before this, every Hollow, even Arrancar, were set apart from other races by the gaping hole somewhere on their body. The fact that this Hollow is uniquely whole intrigues me greatly, since this is set in this past and the Arrancar later created by Aizen were missing this feature. I guess we'll see what that means, since it was important enough for Isshin to point it out. Also, the Cero it fired was apparently different in some way, and it fights more like a Shinigami than a Hollow - the exact opposite of Ichigo with his Hollow mask on, which is interesting.

So I'm re-watching/re-reading Bleach and I've got some queries/inconsistencies from the early episodes, if anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

1. Why did the big menos grande get summoned when Ishida used that bait thing in their duel?

2. Now that we know about Soul Society I can't help but wonder why there weren't Shinigami searching for her when she lost her powers? Why did it take so long for Rnji and Byakuya to come and find her? Or did Aizen do something to conceal the fact her powers had gone missing with Kyoka Suigetsu since he planned for her to go there? I know Aizen explains later that he did it all on purpose to get the Hogyoku but I find it weird that nobody took action immediately.
