Berenice Gabrielli (ベレニケ・ガブリエリ, Berenike Gaburieri) is a Quincy and a member of the Vandenreich's Stern Ritter with the designation "Q".^[1]

Appearance

Berenice is a relatively slender female. Her hair is mostly short, but there is a long fringe which, while predominantly light in color, is significantly darker on the left side.^[2] This two-tone theme is mirrored in her painted fingernails, which each bear a dark diagonal line. Her attire is a variation of the Stern Ritter's typical white uniform, consisting of the order's signature hooded-cloak, a trench coat, and a bolo tie encircling her neck.^[3]

Personality

According to Kenpachi Zaraki Berenice is an extremely outgoing and talkative person. Even in the midst of battle, she will continue to talk despite the risks, making her quite careless against someone like Zaraki when she is not concentrating on the fight.^[3]

Plot

The Thousand-Year Blood War

Upon receiving the orders of Yhwach, she and the other Stern Ritter gather at the Gate of the Sun, before traveling to the Seireitei to participate in the destruction of the Soul Society.^[4]

Once there, she and the others create pillars of blue flame prior to engaging the Shinigami in battle.^[5] Shortly afterwards, Berenice is one of three Stern Ritter who confront Captain Kenpachi Zaraki during the invasion's initial stages. However, according to Zaraki's account, despite talking at great length about her abilities whilst his ears were still ringing from Jerome Guizbatt's roars, Berenice never had the opportunity to use them, as her throat was slit open as she spoke. Zaraki later carries Berenice's corpse atop his shoulders, alongside those of the others, before unceremoniously dropping it in front of Yhwach.^[3]

Powers & Abilities

The Question (異議 (ザ・クエスチョン), Za Kuesuchon): According to Kenpachi Zaraki, Berenice previously stated that her ability allows her to force her opponents into questioning everything about themselves and their abilities.^[6] Otherwise, what the ability itself entails or actually does is unknown.
