Aizen's Impatience: Tense Situation is an event that takes place during the White Invasion that involves Sōsuke Aizen finally deciding to join in the fight himself.

PreludeEdit

As Tōshirō Hitsugaya, Hiyori Sarugaki, and Lisa Yadōmaru fight Tier Harribel, Aizen tells Gin Ichimaru to stop fighting Shinji Hirako and states that he's going to put an end to this. He then goes up to Harribel.^[1]

Tense SituationEdit

He slashes her across her midsection, and claims that none of them are strong enough to fight under him.^[2] He further states that he never imagined that the power of the Espada that he went through so much trouble of getting would be less than his alone. Harribel looks at Aizen with rage and retaliates by stabbing him through the chest with her sword. However, it turns out to be an illusion caused by Aizen's Zanpakutō, Kyōka Suigetsu, and she is stabbed through her left shoulder from behind. She then falls into the town below and Aizen invites the Gotei 13 and Visored to battle him.^[3]

Shinji tells everyone to approach Aizen with caution or else they'll be done for, but Hiyori tells him that they know that much. However, Shinji tells her that he was specifically talking to her, and tells her to relax her grip. Aizen tells Shinji that he would expect such kind words from him, which begins to anger Hiyori and Shinji tries to calm her down. Aizen continues on to say that Shinji's words are humorous to him, since he feels that no matter what they do, their fate is already sealed because of what happened to them in the past. This angers Love Aikawa and Rose but Shinji tells them that Aizen is simply baiting them. This causes Aizen to ask them what their afraid of since they "died" when they underwent Hollowfication 100 years ago. Hiyori is sent over the edge from this statement and she goes to attack Aizen as Shinji yells at her to stop. All of a sudden she is bifurcated at the waist from Gin's Shinsō and she falls into the town below as Gin comments that that's one down.^[4]

AftermathEdit

Shinji immediately heads over to Hiyori's location and catches her before she hits the ground. After Hiyori apologizes to him, Shinji calls for Hachigen Ushōda to heal her but gives up when he sees that he's missing his right arm. He then remembers that Orihime Inoue's power can heal this and yells for Ichigo to come back already.^[5]
